A rock on the outside
Inside emotions are real
An Island in her dreams
So pain she doesn’t feel

Like the Great Wall of China
A barrier protects her heart
From all the turmoil
That tears her life apart

Smiling on the outside
On the inside tears flow
She wishes she were stronger
But weakness is all she knows

Safely deep within her shell
