I may not have known you all of your days,
But you touched my life in so many ways.
When I was down you lifted my spirit,
You told me the truth when I didn’t want to hear it.
Whether you knew it or not you brightened my day,
It seemed you always had the right things to say.
I thank God for time that He allowed us to share,
I’m thankful to have had a friend who was always there.
My dear friend, I will miss you with all of my heart,
I keep these memories close, they will never depart.
It will never be easy to face each day without you,
But with God’s help I know I’ll make it through.
